Peanut Butter Cup Brownies| My life|

August 8th, 2011

Peanut butter cup brownies

I should probably stay off Pinterest because it makes me want to try new things, lol! I am never a baker or a sewer a seamstress but… hey I want to try and I am usually successful when I try new things, lol! I guess its not a bad thing but now I see things I want on Pinterest and I have to have them. LIKE… shoes! I saw a pair of shoes on there and stalked the internet until they became available to purchase again and voila…I bought them the other night…but I digress! Back to the brownies…I had to try to make these because…well, lets face it…who does not like chocolate? (well I know a few people who dont…but they ARE not reading this post) Well…the husband had one when he came in from work and he was like, “yeah I will be eating the rest of those!” lol so…I got his approval. ;)

I just used a regular sized muffin tin but you can use whatever you like…my way only made 12 brownies.
Peanut Butter Cup Brownies
Recipe adapted from Nestle’s Very Best Baking

Makes 40 brownies as adapted

1 box of your favorite brownie mix
1/2 cup peanut butter chips
1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
3/4 cup creamy peanut butter

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray or grease 40 mini-muffin cups.

Prepare boxed brownie mix as directed. Spoon batter evenly into muffin cups (about 1 heaping teaspoon). Bake for 13-15 minutes or until top is set and a toothpick inserted into center comes out slightly wet. After brownies are out of the oven, wait for centers to fall. This will happen upon cooling. If not then tap the centers with the back of a teaspoon to make a hole for the peanut butter.

Place peanut butter in a small microwave-safe bowl. Microwave on high for 45 seconds then stir. While brownies are still warm spoon about half a teaspoon of peanut butter into the center of each brownie. Top with semi-sweet chocolate chips and peanut butter chips. Cool completely in pan.

As we are settling in here in Sunny California, we realized that most of our photos were missing…??? Yeah who wants pictures of my kids?? weird… anyway…so now I have to replace these photos. Good thing I have a ton of hard drives full of pictures of these kids, lol!
Well Noah asked me to take some photos of him one morning wearing his fedora hat. So we headed to the backyard and started shooting. He is such the perfect model too. ALways has been and Trin is doing great when it comes to taking pictures too…she just has her own demands prior to the shoot. Noah likes to critique each picture after I take it…I dont know where in the world he gets that from[[whistles and looks around]] ;)

July 14th, 2011

I have been so bored and homesick since coming to CA. I didnt want to get in a rut and stop taking pictures and well… pictures make me happy so I am making sure I take at least one picture a day…
My 4 year old is starting KINDERGARTEN in September. She would have had to wait another year if we were in FL but she made the cut here in So. Cal. She knew how to spell her name but when she wrote her name, she wrote it all over the page. She started writing her name in one line this day…we were so excited…she smiled all day and now writes (and spells) her name ALL. DAY. LONG! ;)

We have these snails all over our front porch here in CA. At least its not the lizards we have in FL, lol…I can deal with the snails :)

My Breakfast Smoothie… protein …which gives you 50g, Trop 50, and fruit…oh and Truvia to sweeten it if necessary .

Just hanging out at home…

We made sugar cookies and the kids wanted to decorate their cookies the way they wanted. My kids are so opposite its not even funny. Trin is chocolate and hates vanilla and Noah is vanilla and hates chocolate…well…he hates ALL sweets really but he enjoys to help bake them anyway.

I decided that…since it never rains in Southern California (is the song stuck in your head now?) I wanted to make some sun tea…it was my first time making it and I was so excited to see how it’d turn out. It was actually quite delicious…so REFRESHING too!

I went to grade school with Greg who was best friends with my oldest brother. I hadn’t seen Greg in over 15 years but it was nice to see him but I guess I will never get rid of the title “Ricky’s lil sister” lol!! I was so happy when Greg and Emily contacted me take photos to document Emily’s pregnancy with baby Laiken. I was so disappointed that I would be in California by the time she would be born but I am anxious to see her photos anyway :) Before our session, i was informed that little G might not cooperate but…he did…because…well…I got skills ((toot toot)) ;)

and this is my most favorite picture and I am getting this in my office BIG

April 23rd, 2011

When I met Danielle last year for our wedding consult, I knew that she would be nothing short of stunning on her wedding day. And she was very much that.
Like ALL weddings, nothing goes as we as brides plan but…they say if it does, then its all wrong. We brides, and as women always want everything to be perfect because its OUR day! After Danielle (and Rasmee) got their nerves together and each prayed with their bridal party, everything turned out perfect. Each side of their family was amazing…everyone was so nice and were more than willing to cooperate for a photo op ;) [believe me when I say not all families are like this on wedding day] I got chills every time Danielle and her Dad talked. These families have such amazing love for each other and it just shows. Danielle thought her jewelery for her day was not there but when her dad go there, he needed to talk to her privately and he had earrings for her and he put them on her. Her reaction, made me tear up…I love it:)

Danielle, as promised here is a sneak of your day. I enjoyed meeting you all and I wish guys the absolute best!!!
Enjoy
